Huey LOVES freelunge time. Loves it!
We had another session today - he hooned around like a madman as per usual. It's fantastic to see him enjoying himself so much. He arrived a skinny, depressed horse - now he's bright, alert, full of life, and has that 'spark' back in his eye.
His hoof is healing extremely well - if it keeps going at this rate, I'd give it another month and I reckon it will be pretty much grown out. That's how fast it's growing!! Huzzah for Hoof Aid - it's now going to be a regular part of my horsey medicine kit.
He's also looking fantastic! Full coverage over the ribs and hips now, and his coat is spectactular. He's going to be heading out into the group paddock for a few weeks, which I think will be good for him socially, and good for his hoof, given he'll constantly be moving about and getting the circulation pumping.
Piccytime!!
Hooning today!
Rolling in the sand - almost as fun as hooning!
Looking the other way. But look how GREAT he looks!
And something 'artsy' - shame the sun got in the way!

Hi! I saw the name of your blog in your siggy on fhotd and I had to check it out... I had a horse named Huey and he was a love. (It was short for Baby Huey - he was 17hh and a goof!)
I am enjoying watching your boy blossom and recover from that hoof... nice job!
Thanks! :o)
Atleast I'm not just writing for myself anymore, haha.
But it's definitely been a great blog to keep - as it's fasciniting to go back through his progress...
He's coming along super! My Huey is a goof too! (Must be the name)
